Eight Important Factors For Quality Cheap Web Hosting Plans From Reliable Providers

As all of us looking for affordable prices and sales everywhere, same can be said on the affordable web hosting companies offering the same features with slight differences here and there. In this article, we are looking at these differences.

For me as an end user; I think of the price besides reasonable quality of services and comparing among the features that are required as well as the additional features that can make my website easy to use when selecting an affordable web hosting company.

These are some factors; that should be considering when choosing an affordable web hosting company:

o Customer service and support: it is so important to have 24/7 assistance like email, online-chat and toll-free-phone service is essential to ensure the help when the customer need; because some of the low-cost web hosting saves cost by offering a very limited support where sometimes your website is down and you need support; and you can find nobody to help.

o Bandwidth: is so important to put it into consideration in choosing affordable web hosting; like if you have blogs, forums or many hits on your site; your need is unlimited bandwidth to avoid page load errors, slow loading pages or links on your site.

o Servers: check the servers, maintenance and number of users on each server by reviewing FAQ tab on this cheap affordable web-hosting web site.

o Domains: make sure the cheap web hosting providers a multiple domains which are good to provide links and back links to blogs, forums and other types of traffic.

o Cpanel: good advantage to have (cpanel) with the affordable web-hosting package; do you know what is a (cpanel)? It is a unix based web-hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation to simplify the process of hosting a web site; which will make it easy to get your site online and manage it after it is up.

o Templates: For the beginner who use website; affordable web hosting services can be great if they have many different pre-set templates to design the website, by using very simple types of programs that are based on standard templates like the ones on a laptops or personal computers.

o Security: to those who sell items online it is very important to have a secure web site for you and your customers to be protected against fraud; because the website based on e-commerce programs protect both the domain as well as the customer. Using these types of programs from affordable web hosting companies mean that the setup is easy and secure and does not require a web developer to manage your site.

o Company Credibility: Reading the company brochure is obviously good thing to find out how many years of experience these companies have with no bankruptcy or debit history besides where these companies located.

Finally, from my point of view, if you want to choose not pricey web hosting company; look at affordable web host that has been in business for years and has a good reputation with quality of services by reading different forums and the features they offer comparing to the price they charge. Make sure you choose the affordable web hosting that meet all your requirements.

Host Gator Website Hosting Review

Host Gator started their business in 2002 hosting shared platforms. Over time the company grew up to be one of the most reputable and reliable web hosts out there.

The company keep winning many awards due to their honest nature of business, excellent customer service, and quality services for fair prices.

Most recently the Host Gator went green to support the environment. This makes them one of the, if not the only hosting corporation to go green for the first time in the industry.

Host Gator offers three different hosting types. 1. Shared Hosting, 2. Dedicated Server Hosting, 3. Reseller Options. Let me give you an idea of what each one means.

Shared Hosting is your basic hosting option. If you are starting up a website or don't have too much website traffic coming your way, a shared plan is more than enough.

With a Dedicated Server, you get your own server simple as that. If you are at the stage where your website is reaching traffic levels excess of couple of Million Pages Views a month or week, then Dedicated Hosting is your only option.

More on Dedicated Hosting, a Shared Hosting Account will never be able to handle the stress and network traffic on such a site. Your website will simply crash due to overload of network bandwidth. Make sure to switch to a Dedicated Server before you lose your customers for high traffic sites.

Finally, Reseller option is for anyone interested in running their own web hosting company like Host Gator. Basically you rent servers from Host gator, and they provide you with customer and tech support. All you do is create new customer accounts. You can name your own prices and keep all the profits.

From day one, the hosting was rock steady. When they say 99.9 up-time, they really mean it. All our sites are constantly monitor through third party services, and never once we had a problem with a site being down for longer periods.

We tried other hosting firms before the switch. Host Gator offers the best features and services for what you are paying with an unbelievable up-time and armed with a friendly and knowledgeable technical support team.

If you are serious about your web host, you can never go wrong with Host Gator. Be sure to use the coupon codes provided here while they last.

Frequently Asked Web Hosting Questions

Congratulations! After much thought and consideration, you finally took the plunge and decided it was time to have your own web site. That's a great accomplishment in itself. However, now you're left with another daunting task -- selecting a quality web host.

Selecting a good web host is of the utmost importance. However, with all of the technical mumbo jumbo, knowing what to look for can be very intimidating to say the least.

For this reason, I have devised a list of the most frequently asked web hosting questions.

Question: I'm not exactly sure what a web host is. Can you please explain?

Answer: A web host is a company that provides you with server space for your web site. This includes all of the files associated with your web site. When your web address is typed into a browser, the web host displays your pages.

Question: Is it true that a good web host will cost me a lot of money each month?

Answer: Although the old adage "you get what you pay for" still holds true, there are many quality web hosts that are reasonably priced. You can expect to pay $20 - $50 a month for up to 50MB of space depending on the company and your specific needs.

Question: I have been considering hosting my site with a free hosting company, but I'm a little concerned with their reliability. Can you shed some light?

Answer: NEVER host an ecommerce web site with a free hosting service. These services are highly unreliable and could care less if your site goes down. Their main concern is with their advertisers. As long as their ads are up and running, for the most part, they could care less about you or your site.

In addition, sites hosted with free services look very unprofessional. If you've taken the time to get your own web site designed and your own domain name, why would you risk your success and host with a free service? It's just not worth it.

Question: I'm at my wits end. I've been to so many hosting companies and am completely overwhelmed. I have no idea what company to go with. Can you please tell me what I should be looking for in a good host?

Answer: Selecting a quality hosting company can be an intimidating process. Your first consideration should be the company.

o Do they offer fast connections?

o Do they have a back-up system in place to protect your data in case there is a power outage?

o Do they require you to make payments in advance?

o Do they require a long-term contract?

o Do they charge set up fees?

o How is their customer support? Test them.

o Do they provide you with free access to a secure server for order processing?

o Do they offer shopping cart software to process your orders?

o Do they provide you with an online Web Site Manager?

o Do they provide you with an online support manual?

Ask for references. Talk with some of their customers and ask them if they have been satisfied.

Here are some basic features you should look for when selecting a web host:

1) 24/7 reliable tech support

2) Your own domain name (www.yourname.com)

3) At least 10GB of monthly transfer (traffic)

4) A minimum of 20MB - 50MB of server space

5) Unlimited true POP email accounts - name@yourdomain.com

6) Unlimited email aliases

7) Email forwarding

8) Unlimited autoresponders

9) Your own unrestricted CGI-Bin

10) Access to SSL Encryption for secure transactions

11) MySQL Database

12) Perl

13) htaccess password protection

14) Server Side Includes (SSI) support

15) Design (and upload to) your site using Netscape or other HTML editing software

16) Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions for those utilizing FrontPage

17) Unlimited free access to your server via FTP/Telnet

18) Easy access to your log files

19) Statistics on visits to your site

20) Referral Program

When selecting a web host, you must look at the entire picture prior to making your decision. You may find a host that charges $5.00 - $15.00 a month to host your site, however, their technical support may be poor, or your web site may be slow or down a lot.

A lower monthly payment may look appealing, but how much is it actually going to cost you in lost sales? Most likely much more than the amount you'll save.

Although there are many web hosting companies online, there is only one that I can recommend:

Host4Profit - Professional web hosting specifically designed for the Internet marketer.

Take your time and select the host that best meets your needs. It will be well worth your time and effort in the long run.

The Best Online Webhosting Services

Millions of online web hosting services today. I've had more than my fair share of "yelling expletives at my computer" about why this or that does not work work.

Trying to figure out why something does not work with my website used to be a daily thing. Until I found a web site hosting services that finally gave me peace of mind. Hosting services are always looking for new ways to garner new customers. They have coupons for automatic discounts, free templates to use, 24 hour 7 days a week online support. Dedicated servers for those who have tons of traffic.

This is good news for the online newbie marketer. You know have a long list of web hosting services that are looking to get your business. I've personally been doing online marketing for about 6 years now. When I first started I used free web hosting services and this was a big mistake. I also used some very poor online services including website hosting. I have learned through experience that you need real people to help with your website hosting.

There is no such thing as a perfect hosting account! Eventually someone will have a problem that no technical person can fix online. No one entity is perfect except for GOD. You can only do thorough research in your quest for the best service online.

Here is my criteria for good web-hosting services.

Support: Does your webhosting company have shoddy online support? The best will always have 24 hr. 7 days a week support including live chat. When you have a hosting problem you want support now...not tomorrow morning but "right now".

Phone Support: If your online internet service goes offline for whatever reason...can you call support via phone. They must have National 800 number and local free phone support service.

Cpanel: Do they have cpanel where you can add emails accounts, control spam email, add subdomain, ad on domain names, mysql databases and forums.

Stats: Statistical information...you've got to see who, where and why your visitors are visiting. This is a BIG deal for those who want to get better SEO and continue promoting their websites or blogs.

Fantastico: This has nothing to do with what your girl or wife calls you. It is a system that helps you install many scripts such as forums, wordpress blogs, surveys, classifieds, polls, and many more scripts that some website developers charge big bucks for.

Templates: Website templates to use for building your own website without the cost of graphic designers. These should be free and easily available for your online use.

I hope this answers some of the questions you might have about webhosting services.

Finding the Best Web Hosting for Your Online Business, 10 Key Elements of Web Hosting

Finding the Best Web Hosting for Your Online Business: 10 Key Elements of Web
Hosting:

- brought to you by managed-hosting-solutions.com

In the quest to find the best web hosting solution, look for Reliability and
Customer Service rather than the Cheapest Price

Finding the best managed hosting solutions is a lot like finding a new car.
Ultimately, your web host needs to get you from point A to point B, but
understanding which features are important to you as a consumer makes the
difference between buying a lemon or a Ferrari. Deciding which are the important
features and components can be a confounding task.
How do you decided on the best web hosting solution for your online business
needs? http://www.managed-hosting-solutions.com examines the key elements of this
important decision, and helps you make the best choice with ease. Let's have a
look under the hood.

The first step in finding the best web hosting solution is understanding your
business needs.

Here are some important questions you should know the answers to in order to
make the right choice:

  • What are you going to be doing with your site?

  • Will your site have just a few pages?

  • Will it offer downloads?

  • Is it a database driven? Will you have a mailing list?

  • Is your site commerce enabled?

  • Who is managing your site?

  • Will you need FTP access to upload your files, or will you publish using
    FrontPage(TM)?

Once you know the answers to those questions, start to examine these 10 key
elements of web hosting:

1) Customer Service: Top of the List! Can you reach the web hosting support
desk easily and are they responsive? Try it before you buy it! Regardless of
your technical skills, in most cases you will need to communicate with your web
hosting provider. Find a company that is reachable and responsive to your
requests. It's always a good idea to make sure the hosting provider has a Toll
Free 800 number, and that they actually answer their calls. Before you sign up
with anyone, pick up the phone and call them. One tip to remember, the sales
group almost always picks up the phone, so call the technical support number and
try to talk with them. Try calling at odd hours, and see what you get. This is
always a good way to gauge how easy it is to get them on the phone, and if they
are the right web hosting provider for you.

2) Reliability: Are the servers that host your business up? Are you
guaranteed server uptime as part of your hosting agreement? How long have they
been in business? Most good hosting groups guarantee a certain amount of "up
time" with your contract. In addition, some companies charge more for better "up
time" guarantees. For example: the $5.95 per month package delivers 95% uptime,
while the $9.99 per month package delivers 99.9% uptime. Higher monthly fees may
put you on a better network. Something to consider when you're pricing potential
hosting providers, or if your thinking about free web hosting.

3) Control Panel: The heart of a websites features and the place where you
control many of the features needed to run a proper website. With a good control
panel, you can Block IP Addresses from Accessing your Site, Password Protect
Directories, Prevent Image HotLinking, Prevent Bandwidth Leeching and much more.
Cpanel is an awesome control panel package that is intuitive, and really easy to
use. Many managed hosting solutions utilize it. I host several sites with
hostgator based on the fact that they have Cpanel.

4) Disk Space: How much storage capacity do you require? If your going to
load the server up with MP3's and large files, be aware of the Disk Space
limitations. If you know your going to use a lot of disk space, that needs to
play a factor in your decision.

5) Bandwidth: The amount data that you broadcast from your website on a
monthly basis. Most packages allow you to upgrade if you need more.

6) Domains: Do you need a single domain name, sub-domains or unlimited
domain hosting. Domain Management includes tasks like Managing Subdomains,
Parked Domains and Redirect URLs. With good Domain management, you can put
several domain names under one URL, but your web hosting provider must offer
these features.

7) Web Statistics: Full statistical analysis of your site lets you
understand your traffic, what keywords are used to find our site, as well as
browser types, country visitors are from, which pages they visited and much
more. With good statistical analysis programs, you should also be able to view
Raw Access Logs for your Site, Disk Usage, Bandwidth Usage, Web Traffic
Statistics, Error Logs and visitors demographics.

8) Email hosting: Email is always a crucial part of running a website. You
will need the ability to create proper business email addresses. Auto responder,
POP3 & Mail Forwarding is a must. Email management can be easy if you have the
right tools. At a minimum, you will want to have control over adding and
removing Email Accounts, Setting Disk Space Quotas, Read and send mail through
Web mail Interface, Manage Email Forwarders and Auto-responders, as well as
Email Domain Forwarding. Make sure you have this type of control over your
email, or you will be at the mercy of the person who is. If you have never done
these types of email management tasks, don't worry, it is a lot easier than it
all sounds.

9) Costs: How much will you pay per month? Are there additional fees for
going over the bandwidth limits? Most web hosting packages range from $4.95 to
$9.95 per month, and provide all the services you will need for a basic website.
This is a buyers market, and there are many great choices out there. But pricing
should not be the determining factor in your choice. It is a good idea
understand the bonuses that many of these hosts provide. One of my favorite
freebees is a $25 Google AdWords Credit. Gate.com currently offers this AdWords
Credit. With a free $25 AdWords Credit, you can promote your site and experiment
with Pay Per Click Advertising. Well worth the effort.

Looking for Free Web Hosting? Remember the old adage "there is no such thing as
a free lunch." The is also no such thing as free web hosting. If you are serious
about your online business, free web hosting is not an real option. Free Web
Hosting costs a lot more than you think. I recently tried a "free web hosting"
deal with one of the major domain companies. They included a fun little pop
under advertising window for all of my visitors, and at the same time, made it
impossible for me to promote my site via Google AdWords, as Google would not let
me advertise due to their policy against annoying pop-under ads. So, "Free Web
Hosting" comes at a high price, don't pay it.

10) Advanced Hosting Features: If your looking to build a modern website,
you need some advanced tools to make that happen. Look for features such as
MySQL and phpMyAdmin, PostgreSQL and phpPgAdmin, PHP, Perl, CGI, Python and
Tomcat. If you are new to web hosting, you probably won't need all these
features. Some hosting packages come with serious extras including Shopping
Carts, Guestbooks, Image Galleries, Forums and Wiki's, Blogs, Counters, Clocks,
chatrooms and more.

As a web consultant for over 10 years, I have seen all kinds of hosting
scenarios; free web hosting, the classic "$9.99 per month" packages, to server
farms run by in house system administrators. The majority of web hosting
shoppers are looking for the same thing, a web hosting solution that is
reliable, inexpensive and easy to manage.

Managed hosting solutions have evolved over the years. Many of the smaller
mom-and-pop shops have dropped off, and a new pack of web hosting provides now
offer comprehensive hosting plans that get the job done. managed-hosting-solutions.com
rates several of today's top hosing providers, and has selected 7 of the
industries top hosing providers for you. You can't really go wrong with any of
these top 7 groups. There are however, a few elements that separate the top
selections in our list. Even with all the advancements in server technology over
the last 10 years, the basic elements of finding the best web hosting providers
remain the same; you need to find a managed hosting solution that can provide
Technical Reliability and Outstanding Customer Service.

web hosting providers online.

Jesus Our Host

"Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish" (John 21:13.) "And he says to me, Write, Blessed [are] they who are called to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:9).

Jesus is our Host. One of the most compelling invitations in all the Bible is Revelation 3:20: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." We would have to be astonishingly hard-souled and soiled to ignore His constant and tender invitations to us to fellowship with Him. Here in John 21 Jesus has done all the work for this special communion with His beloved disciples. Would He do less for us? I don't think so.

Jesus saw that these dear friends of His were still reluctant to come to Him, so He goes to them with nourishment. What an example for us who are as shy to approach Him as were these hesitant interns of His! Again, Jesus meets us on the shore of our particular experience. He brings to us all ordinary provisions, plentiful and plain, and serves us. What a remarkable passage and symbol this is!

Another thought considers how Jesus was treated by His disciples and how He treats us. When Jesus most needed His dear friends in the Garden, they fell asleep. Then they deserted Him, one by one, when He was arrested. Would we have done the very same thing, had we lived then? I've often wondered if I, too, would have shouted, "Crucify Him," with the mob. We need to take heed lest we fall! But what I would like to share here is the enormously comforting thought that Jesus will never treat us as we treat Him. This passage from this extraordinary chapter of John proves that He will be there for us, on the shore in our severe times, ready with His provisions of love and promises. He will come and meet us, too, at the juncture of our despair; we don't need to worry about going to Him. In the depths of anguish, this is a crucial belief.

Cheap Hosting Traps to Avoid

Searching for cheap hosting plans reminds me of the old story about the lady who found a beautiful snake dying by the side of the road. Entranced by the snakes beauty she picked the poor reptile up and carried it home where she lovingly nursed it back to health. She was so pleased when the snake recovered that she hugged him, and the snake promptly bit her. As she lay dying, she asked the snake how he could bite her after she had treated him so kindly. The snake replied, "not my fault lady, you knew I was a snake when you took me in."

The moral of the story is that just because something looks good on the surface it does not necessarily mean that it's good for you. Some cheap hosting plans are like that. On the surface they appear to be a great deal, but if you look closely at the offer you will find the true nature of the beast. Here are a few things to watch out for:

-Contradictory Statements
-Hidden Prices
-Bad Reviews
-Unadvertised limitations
-Locked Contracts

Contradictory Statements

Some cheap hosting providers offer what appears to be huge quantities of web space and bandwidth plus the ability to host unlimited domains on one account. On the surface this appears to be a great deal. However, once you begin adding additional domains with moderate to heavy traffic, your bandwidth may not support the load, resulting in a complete shutdown of all your web sites. In addition, if your hosting provider limits the quantity of files on your account, the addition of more domains could easily exceed the file limitations in a very short time.

I recently read a statement on a popular cheap hosting site which boasts over a million customers. The owner stated that should you have an unresolved problem, you simply had to contact him and he would personally see to it that the issue was resolved for you. Amazing! Let's look at that offer closely. Let's say that on any given day only one percent of the million customers were dissatisfied with the support they received and took the owner up on his offer. The owner would receive 10,000 emails which, if his claim is to be believed, he would have to deal with personally. Could you give 10,000 people your personal attention every day? Frankly, rather than finding his offer of personal intervention reassuring, I found it a bit disturbing. Why, I wondered, did the owner feel the need to make such an offer? Does he or she have doubts as to the competency of the support staff to satisfy his customers? Has the company lost customers because of dissatisfaction with the support system. Although the company may indeed offer excellent support, claims such as this could indicate the need for closer scrutiny.

Hidden Prices

Every cheap hosting provider splashes the low priced cost of their hosting plans in big bold type on the web page. But is that the actual price or a special discount price you get for paying up to three years in advance? Some cheap hosting providers only offer annual payment plans, while others charge a higher fee if you prefer to pay on a monthly basis. In some cases, you would actually have to pay up to three years in advance to obtain the advertised hosting price.

Bad Reviews

Before selecting a hosting provider, you should do a search for reviews of the company. An old adage in marketing is that a satisfied customer may tell one person about a company while a dis-satisfied customer will tell five people about their experience. Failure to find any reviews at all is not necessarily a bad sign, since this can be attributed to several factors, such as the company's size, age, and whether they offer an affiliate program. On the other hand, if your search reveals a substantial number of bad reviews then that hosting provider is probably not the right choice for your web site.

Unadvertised limitations

Almost every hosting provider limits the quantity of emails you may send out per hour. The reason for this is that sending out emails in large quantities can substantially slow down the server's response time. On a shared server, this can affect not only your own site but many other customers sites as well. Not all cheap hosting providers tell you this in advance. Some wait until you exceed your limits then promptly suspend your account and even charge you additional fees for the excess emails you sent.

Frankly, If you will be sending out mass mailings then you should use an auto-responder service for the tasks. In addition to saving a great deal of time on your mailings, auto responder services offer a host of features such as scheduling your mailings to go out on specified days, tracking capabilities and spam bot workaround software that will help you increase the profit potential of you emails.

As stated earlier, some cheap hosting providers also set limitations on the quantity of files you can upload to your site. If you operate a large web site, you could find yourself dealing with sudden shutdowns of your web site and lost data since some providers have been known to erase files when a customer exceeds their limits.

Another often unadvertised limitation is the use of scripts. Before purchasing your hosting plan, make sure the scripts you want to run on your site are allowed by the provider, otherwise you may find your site shutdown and your account suspended until the script is removed.

If the hosting provider offers templates for building your website, be sure to read the fine print carefully. Some providers only allow you to use the templates while you maintain an account with them. If you decide to move your site to another provider later, you may find you have to rebuild your entire site from scratch.

Locked Contracts

Read the contract or Terms of Service carefully before you commit to purchase a hosting plan. Some providers require written notice in advance of cancellation of your account. Others may delete your files after a specified number of days past due. If you decide to switch to a dedicated server, some providers will demand payment for the full term of your shared hosting agreement.

As with any business arrangement, take time to read the fine print carefully before you commit yourself to an agreement to purchase any cheap hosting plan. The small amount of time you invest now could save you hours of time and quite a lot of money in the future.
